Any part of the year is possible. But, we recommend October as it is both a very nice and warm time of the year, but also because most youth are out of school for "Festival of lights" (ask us about the dates). This makes it easy for many youth to join the conferences.
The youth are also often off in the beginning of December.

Trip Summary
We would like to especially invite worship teams to consider going on a music mission trip to Nepal; as the youth there absolutely love contemporary/western worship music.
Nepal is a diverse country on many levels, also in regards to religion; they are predominantly Hindu (about 80%), but there is also a large Buddhist demographic, as well as Islam.
Christianity is very new there, but has spread extremely fast in the past few decades, and it keeps growing quickly. In fact, Nepal is on the very top of the list of countries where Christianity is growing the fastest.
Many people have come to know Jesus as their Savior. We would like to send teams to help encourage and train the Christians there (particularly the youth); and to equip them to go out and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Nepal and to learn how to use music for that purpose as well.
We will not be doing as much direct outreach there, besides the worship concerts at the youth conference(s) (the youth will be encouraged to invite in friends who are not believers) and some cultural exchange (you play for them, they play for you, etc) as our understanding of their very diverse and sensitive culture and multiple religions is limited (there are about 123 spoken languages and more than 80 ethnic groups) and we will help equip and train the locals in music/worship and the Word of God, so that they can go and do that instead in a more effective way, specifically using the vehicle of music.
There are about 15-16 churches in the Kathmandu region, and we will be focusing on training in that region. We can also go into the Chitwan region (about a 4 hour drive, or take a plane), and do a youth conference/concert + training worship teams there as well. If you happen to have a very large group, we can split the group up, and send teams to different regions and do the same projects simultaneously.
Nepal is a spectacular mountain country that borders India in the south and Tibet in the north. You may know that the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, is in Nepal; but did you know that Nepal is actually the home of 8 of the 10 tallest mountains in the world? It's an incredibly beautiful and unique country, so bring the camera (however, they have one of the slowest internet connections in the world, so you may have to wait till you are back home to upload the wonderful pictures).
We will give you a lot more practical info about Nepal as you are preparing for the trip, as it will be highly different from the western hemisphere.
