Trip Summary

GTM Ministries & Mziki Tours would like to invite you to our first ever

More specifically: Nakuru, Kenya, June 26th - July 3rd 2023.

We have created a week-long trip around INOW this time, so we can all enjoy a fantastic time together full of adventures, lots of singing with our amazing mass choir (as well as opportunities to sing as individual artists, choirs and groups), fellowship & fun!

We can't wait to praise God together across cultures, nationalities, music styles, and more, together in Kenya! And perhaps we can even get a small taste of what heaven will be like; when we will one day worship Him together with our brothers and sisters from every tribe, nation and tongue!?

The foundation for INOW Kenya 2023's mass choir will consist of several local gospel choirs, and we can't wait to join in! We hope you will start making plans to travel to Africa with us for this extraordinary INOW!

(Note that this is just an outline, as it’s quite early still, and changes may be made):

Monday June 26th: As you arrive at Nairobi Airport, you will be greeted by our lovely hosts from GTM Ministries and Mziki Tours. Everyone will be brought to the airport hotel in Nairobi where we will spend the first night and rest comfortably from the journey!

Tuesday June 27th: After a good breakfast at the hotel we will get in the buses on our way to Nakuru. After the 2+ hour drive, we will check in to our hotel where we will spend the rest of the week, and enjoy a time of fellowship and lunch. We will then get to rest a little bit before our first official rehearsal and dinner.

Wednesday June 28th: This morning we will get to visit the beautiful Menengai Crator, which has one of the largest calderas in the world and offers a spectacular view! We will even have an outdoor rehearsal up there! Later in the afternoon, we will visit the slums to put on a special concert for and together with the people there. During or after the concert, we will also give out food and various items.

Thursday June 29th: SAFARI DAY! You can’t go to Kenya without going on a safari! In fact, this is day 1 of 2 safari days. This one is to Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha nearby Nakuru; and activities include; swimming in the Largest Natural spa in East and Central Africa, Biking Safari (cars available to those who prefer that) where we will have a chance to see wild (but non-dangerous) animals like buffalos, baboons, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, impalas e.t.c. Spectacular scenery includes towering cliffs, water gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes among other things. We will also get some incredible views, especially when we go to the top of the volcano! While in the midst of this wonderful scenery, we will have a mass choir rehearsal.

We will then go back to the hotel and have a “Mocktail” party; where there will be served non-alcholic beverages and various artists and groups will perform for each other.

Friday June 30th: Rift Valley Adventure Day! We will head out early morning for a spectacular Safari/Game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. We will start off at the gates of the world’s famous Lake Nakuru National Safari Park in search of a vast array of animals. WHAT MIGHT YOU SEE? Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for being home to lion, giraffe, zebra, flamingo, gazelle, waterbuck, buffalo, white rhino, baboon, leopard and 300 species of bird.

After we get back in the evening, we will do a concert or "Evening Gala" at the hotel, where we get to enjoy the music from individual artists, bands and small groups, this includes local Kenyan artists and groups as well! Make sure you let us know if you and your group would be interested in performing here.

Saturday July 1st: During the day we will do a music mission concert at Subukia Shrine, which is a Christian based prayer center that hosts people from around the globe. There should be a lot of students there who will assemble from different schools across Nakuru. We will of course sing a song or more with the mass choir, but we also would love for all the individual choirs to sing here - as well as local gospel choirs from Kenya!

In the evening we will do a visit to the Rhino Campsite, where we assemble at the campsite together with local choirs. There will be a bonfire where we will share an African meal with them. We will also have various musical sharing sessions and rehearsals; as well as playing some African games and team building activities.

Sunday July 2nd: THE BIG DAY! We will split into several groups of singers, artists, groups, directors etc. that will sing at different church services in the Nakuru area. We will then also invite them for the INOW concert at night!

After this we get ready for our big finale: INOW!

This International Night of Worship is our (INOW) main event; and we will praise God together through our mass choir along with the crowd. Various local groups as well as your groups/soloists will also partake here.

We will have a final celebratory dinner after the event!

Monday July 3rd: We say our goodbyes and "see you agains", and travel to the airport in Nairobi. Then you will fly back home again, hopefully uplifted, refreshed, and full of life changing memories and new friends from all around the world!

BUT, it doesn’t have to end there…
If some of you would like to join one of our two extended package-trips, which will have you there for 4-5 more days. Check out the options below!

Package A:
Enjoy a lovely and relaxing vacation in the famous Mombasa city which is located in Coastal Kenya. The city hosts the eminent Indian Ocean and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Africa. It is attractive particularly because of the warm weather and its amazing beaches, beautiful landscape and breathtaking ocean views; especially in the evenings. During the visit, you can enjoy nice walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean, boat riding, fishing, shopping and much more. You will be spending the nights in beautiful lodges within walking distance of the beach.

Monday July 3rd: We leave our hotel in Nakuru in the morning, and start driving toward Nairobi. We will make a stop at a stunning Great Rift Valley lookout-point on the way, where we will get to enjoy the magnificent views of one of the largest valleys in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll have

lunch before proceeding to the train station. Shortly after 2pm, we will board the express super “Madaraka” train from Nairobi to Mombasa. The train ride to Mombasa takes about 5hrs. The train ride is extremely thrilling and exciting because it passes through the famous Tsavo National park. With this, you have an opportunity to spot some wild animals while on your way to Mombasa.

You will arrive in Mombasa at around 8pm and proceed to the hotel/lodge.

Tuesday July 4th and Wednesday July 5th: You will have the opportunity to relax at one of the amazing beaches there, and move at your own pace. Our guides will be available to help with or take you anywhere you would like to go. Things that are fun to do there - in addition to swimming in the gorgeous Indian Ocean and soaking up the sun -  is for example: visit a crocodile park, boat riding, fishing, camel riding, touring the city, visiting craft shops, shopping, visit Fort Jesus (ancient museum from 1593) etc.

Thursday July 6th: Free time in the morning. Around noon we have lunch and then take the train back to Nairobi. We then check into our hotel there where we also meet the other group who have travelled to Maasai Mara (Package B). You will spend the evening there and have dinner together before flying back on Friday.
