Trip Summary

GTM Ministries & Mziki Tours would like to invite you to our first ever

More specifically: Nakuru, Kenya, June 20-27 2022.

We have created a week-long trip around INOW this time, so we can all enjoy a fantastic time together full of adventures, lots of singing with our amazing mass choir (as well as opportunities to sing as individual artists, choirs and groups), fellowship & fun!

We can't wait to lift up Jesus together across cultures, nationalities, music styles, and more, together in Kenya! And perhaps we can even get a small taste of what heaven will be like; when we will one day worship Jesus together with our brothers and sisters from every tribe, nation and tongue!?

The foundation for INOW Kenya 2022's mass choir will consist of several local gospel choirs, and we can't wait to join in! We hope you will start making plans to travel to Africa with us for this extraordinary INOW!

(Note that this is just an outline, as it’s quite early still, and changes may be made):

Monday June 20th: you will arrive at Nairobi Airport; and depending on your time of arrival, you will either travel directly to Nakuru, or you will spend the night at an airport hotel and travel to Nakuru next morning.

Tuesday June 21st: We will spend some time today resting up a little from the journey, perhaps take a swim at the hotel, fellowship with each other, eat delicious food, and do some sightseeing in the area.
In the afternoon we will do a concert in the slums, and have a chance to also give out food etc.

Wednesday June 22nd: Today we will do some music mission concerts in the Nakuru area. And in the evening we will do our first mass choir rehearsal together with local gospel choirs! We hope to have 300-500 singers all in total for our mass choir.

Thursday June 23rd: SAFARI DAY! You can’t go to Kenya without going on a safari! We will go to Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha, and activities include; swimming in the Largest Natural spa in East and Central Africa, Biking Safari (cars available to those who prefer that) where we will have a chance to see wild (but non-dangerous) animals like buffalos, baboons, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, impalas e.t.c. Spectacular scenery includes towering cliffs, water gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes among other things. We will also get some incredible views, especially when we go to the top of the volcano!

We will then go back to the hotel and have a “Mocktail” party; where there will be served non-alcholic beverages and various artists and groups will perform for each other; before we end the evening with a fun mass choir rehearsal!

Friday June 24th: Music Mission Trip to Kisumu City, which is next to the beautiful Lake Victoria (2nd largest fresh water lake in the world). In addition to seeing this amazing lake, we will also get to stop at the equator point, see tea and coffee plantations, etc. We will do a concert with our mass-choir & artists in a village there; and we are looking forward to a really wonderful time!
We will be back in Nakuru in the evening.

Saturday June 25th: During the day we will do a music mission concert at Subukia Shrine, which is a Christian based prayer center that hosts people from around the globe. There should be a lot of students there who will assemble from different schools across Nakuru.

After that we will gather at the Rhino campsite with local choirs for an amazing time of learning and exchanging musical ideas with the Kenyan Gospel choirs. We will share lunch with them, play African games, and spend some time on singing (exchanges/workshops/rehearsal). We will end this special time with an evening bonfire while having African meals made there.

Sunday June 26th: THE BIG DAY! We will split into several groups of singers, artists, groups, directors etc. and sing at different church services in the Nakuru area. We will then also invite them for the INOW concert at night!

After this we get ready for INOW!
We will of course have a final rehearsal and sound checks.
Then we will share a fun time of fellowship, interactions, snacks, fun, photos, red carpet, and more, together with local Christians coming to worship together with us.
International Night of Worship in the evening (INOW) main event from 18.30 – 20.30 pm.

We will have a final celebratory dinner after the event!

Monday June 27th: We say our goodbyes and "see you agains", and travel to the airport in Nairobi. Then you will fly back home again, hopefully uplifted, refreshed, and full of life changing memories and new friends from all around the world!

BUT, it doesn’t have to end there…
If some of you would like to join one of our two extended package-trips, which will have you there for 4-5 more days. Check out the options below!

Package A:

Enjoy a lovely and relaxing vacation to the famous Mombasa city which is located in Coastal Kenya. The city hosts the eminent Indian Ocean and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Africa. It is mostly attractive because of the warm weather and its amazing beaches, beautiful landscape and breathtaking ocean views; especially in the evenings. During the visit, you can enjoy nice walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean, boat riding, fishing, shopping and much more. You will be spending the nights in beautiful lodges within walking distance of the beach.

Monday June 27th: We leave our hotel in Nakuru in the morning, and start driving toward Nairobi. We will make a stop at a stunning Great Rift Valley lookout-point on the way, where we will get to enjoy the magnificent views of one of the largest valleys in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll have

lunch before proceeding to the train station. Shortly after 2pm, we’ll board the express super “Madaraka” train from Nairobi to Mombasa. The train ride to Mombasa takes about 5hrs. The train ride is extremely thrilling and exciting because it passes through the famous Tsavo National park. With this, you have an opportunity to spot some wild animals while on your way to Mombasa.

You will arrive in Mombasa at around 8pm and proceed to the hotel/lodge.

Tuesday June 28th, Wednesday June 29th and Thursday June 30th: You will have the opportunity to relax at one of the amazing beaches there, and move at your own pace. Our guides will be available to help with or take you anywhere you would like to go. Things that are fun to do there - in addition to swimming in the gorgeous Indian Ocean and soaking up the sun -  is for example: visit a crocodile park, boat riding, fishing, camel riding, touring the city, visiting craft shops, shopping, visit Fort Jesus (ancient museum from 1593) etc.

Friday July 1st: We will head over to the train station and board the train back to Nairobi at about 8am in the morning. We will arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch, and will then proceed to the

hotel to meet with the other group of those who will have travelled to Maasai Mara (Package B). You will spend the evening there and have dinner together before flying back either on Friday night, or Saturday morning depending on your flight schedule.

Maasai Mara is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. The tour includes road transport from Nakuru with up to four private game drives in the reserve. The trip may also include extra options such as a visit to Maasai village while experiencing the rich Maasai Culture and interacting with Maasai people.

Monday June 27th: The safari to Kenya’s Famous game reserve (Maasai Mara) will start at 8am. The trip takes about 5hrs. We will travel in private safari vehicles. We may make stops along the way to take photos and enjoy some amazing views of the spectacular landscape. We will then arrive at Maasai Mara for lunch at the beautiful camp. The afternoon game drive at 3.30pm allows the spotting of magnificent wildlife in the park, ranging from the big cats such as lion, leopard & cheetah to rhino, elephant and wildebeest. We will return to our lodges or tents by 6.30pm.

We may also opt to have a bush breakfast at no extra cost. The wildlife is usually more active during these times of the day. As your Maasai Mara safari will be private, your game drive timings will be flexible; which is useful even if you are traveling with children. You may also choose to have a full day game drive [one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch, at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner.

Wednesday June 29th: At the break of dawn we will embark on the final safari game drive in Masai Mara, followed by a relaxed bush breakfast back at the camp, and then we will start the drive to Nairobi. We will arrive Nairobi, the capitol of Kenya, later in the afternoon and check in at the hotel where we will spend the next few nights.

Thursday June 30th: We have a full day to spend in the big city! We are planning to do a visit at the Elephant Orphanage there in the morning. Friday July 1st: Today you will be able to relax and/or do some shopping! We will meet with the group that comes from Mombasa (Package A) that evening and do a final dinner together with them. Depending on your flight schedule, you will fly out either that night or the next morning.
